The Office of the Rail Regulator (“ORR”) has announced that it will be holding a hearing at which rail industry parties will be able to make final representations to the Regulator on the proposal by Grand Central to introduce a new cross-Pennine passenger service. Following the hearing the ORR will be considering the information provided before publishing a decision in due course.
Ian Yeowart, Managing Director of Grand Central, comments:
“Grand Central welcomes this development, the opportunity to present final details of its plans to the Rail Regulator and to respond further to the issues raised by the proposal during the recent consultation exercise.
